These are the flood tunnels that run under the city, a year round residence for the areas homeless. This tunnel by Las Vegas Bllvd across from the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign was occupied at the time I made this video or I would have went in deeper. Just beyond the shadows a person had propped a stolen No Trespassing sign up in front of their mattress on the floor. The sound of my voice echoing down the tunnel woke them up. www.thingsgoingsmoothly.com |

This is a quick video of the fountains in front of the Bellagio Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. The music is timed to Viva Las Vegas by Elvis and was shot with my cell phone on a recent trip to Las Vegas. |

Ted's Restaurant in Meriden Connecticut is famous for its steamed cheeseburgers. They steam the cheese as well and pour that over the top of the square burger. www.thingsgoingsmoothly.com |

Louis Lunch is a historic hamburger restaurant in New Haven Connecticut. It is the oldest continuously operating hamburger stand in the United States and is thought by some to be where the hamburger was invented. Served on white bread and without condiments the burgers are always cooked medium rare. www.thingsgoingsmoothly.com |

With a day off and nothing to do I decided to walk the entire finished section of the Blackstone River Bikeway, 10 or 11 miles, end to end and back again. I walked this section of the East Coast Greenway because the exercise made me feel better after not having hiked since sumiting Katahdin at the end of my Appalachian Trail thru hike. And because while I was away someone lost the keys to my bike lock. www.thingsgoingsmoothly.com |

Having just finished hiking the Appalachian Trail I'm wondering what you are supposed to do. What have other hikers done? I have no money, no car and no home. Check out my seldom updated blog @ www.thingsgoingsmoothly.com |
